As a Dedicated Stewardess / Cook at Crew on Sea, you are assigned to a 17-meter yacht for a continuous two-week Mediterranean cruise.
During this period, you live and work on board, supporting the captain and ensuring that owners or guests experience a comfortable, well-organised, and enjoyable time at sea.
This is a combined interior and light culinary role. On a yacht of this size, you manage both hospitality and meal preparation.
Your responsibilities include:
• Guest welcome and onboard hospitality
• Daily preparation of breakfast, lunch, and light dinners
• Provisioning planning before and during the trip
• Maintaining interior cleanliness and presentation
• Cabin preparation and daily housekeeping
• Table setting and service
• Managing galley organisation and hygiene standards
• Supporting general onboard flow and comfort
On a 16-meter cruising yacht, space is limited and organisation is essential. You must plan ahead, manage storage efficiently, and adapt menus to available provisions and guest preferences.
Unlike day charter operations, this role requires continuity and consistency over a two-week period. You become part of the onboard rhythm, balancing professionalism with discretion and a calm presence.
Because you remain on board for the full cruise, you develop an understanding of guest preferences, dietary requirements, and daily routines, ensuring a personalised experience.
Preparation & Onboarding
Before embarkation, you complete a structured preparation process, including:
• Guest preference review (dietary needs, allergies, expectations)
• Provisioning planning and shopping coordination
• Galley and interior familiarisation
• Alignment on service standards and communication protocols
• Safety briefing and emergency procedure review
Basic yacht hospitality understanding and galley management skills are required before joining this assignment. The preparation phase ensures alignment and smooth execution — not basic training.
Certification Requirements – Stewardess / Cook (16m Cruise)
To qualify, you must hold:
• STCW Basic Safety
• Security Awareness
• Valid medical certificate
In addition, you must:
• Have experience in hospitality, yacht service, or private household service
• Be confident preparing fresh meals in a compact galley
• Be organised and comfortable living on board for extended periods
• Speak fluent English (spoken and understood)
• Maintain a professional appearance and discretion
As a Stewardess / Cook on a 16-meter Mediterranean cruise, you provide comfort, organisation, and quality hospitality throughout the journey.
Crew on Sea provides the contractual structure, planning support, and operational backing behind your assignment.
